My dad used to say, “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” He believed in keeping me and my brothers out of trouble by keeping us busy with chores. The same philosophy applies at work. With the economic slowdown, many employers are finding it hard to keep their employees busy for 40 hours a week.

Hurricane season is here again, and it reminds me that I need to do something in the way of a disaster plan for my agency. Although we are not in the path of a hurricane, I’m sure we still need something in place for other issues that might affect the agency being open. Do you have any tips for me?
