I recently visited the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas, which chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. I only recall the assassination from history books, but many remember where they were at the exact moment they heard that their beloved president had been fatally shot on November 22, 1963. It was a defining moment in history for many, a moment in time when life as they knew it changed forever. That is a sentiment I can relate to anytime I think back to that fateful day in 2001 when I received the news of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. [ more ]

Lessons from the Slopes
I went skiing recently with my family and some friends. I love to ski. Sure, it’s cold and I fall down a lot, but there is just something about being out in the snow on skis that cannot be duplicated in Texas. My kids now snowboard, but I’m perfectly happy with my skis. I don’t need to learn how to do a backside rodeo or be told I am riding the board goofy. [ more ]

Like many other businesses, our agency has been impacted by this economy, and we have been forced to reduce our staff. Since that happened, the morale in the office has taken a nose dive. Any suggestions on how to improve morale and keep the staff focused in these tough times?
