What to Look for in a Nonsubscription Policy
Nonsubscription can be risky. Make sure your clients are protected by a good nonsubscription policy.
Unlike businesses elsewhere,
Texas businesses can elect not to
purchase workers’ compensation insurance. Nonsubscribers can opt
instead for a more limited nonsubscription policy, which only covers eligible claims above the deductible. Although nonsubscription
coverage is preferable to no coverage at all, it can still leave an employer vulnerable to costly litigation.
